Remember when someone gifted you aspice rack for your bridal shower or a housewarming gift? Spice racks can look nice, but lets be honest... Most of them are way too bulky and are missing spices we love + have spices we never use!
It’s been a few years since I cleaned out my spice rack and donated it. I switched to... Traditional Spice Racks
It’s been a few years since I cleaned out my spice rack and donated it. I switched to Ikea magnetic Grundtal spice jars. Ikea magnetic GRUNDTAL jars are made of stainless steel and have a plastic (boo) window to let you see in. This was a great space saver as you can stick them on the side of your fridge if located conveniently! But over time they became a nuisance because of the threading on the lids. We passed those on and finally got the best magnetic spice jars of all!
Ikea Grundtal Magnetic Spice ContainersGneiss Magnetic Spice Jars - Aka The Best!
Gneiss magnetic spice jars are the best magnetic spice jars for a zero waste/low waste kitchen or any kitchen!! These jars are hexagonal in shape and have a much nicer lid style than the ikea Grundtal ones. The magnet is contained within the lid, allowing you to appreciate the beauty and color of your spices through the glass. You can also arrange the jars in unique patterns and shapes! These are perfect zero waste spice jar options! The initial cost feels high, but I feel that it is worth it! Trying to DIY something similar may not be as much of a bargain as you’re expecting once you factor in the time, quality materials, and food safety assurance. Definitely recommend checking these out or they would make a super gift! Gneiss also sells some spice sets where the jars are prefilled and sets of magnetic boards with spice jars!
